This is a broad, generalist-oriented role that touches all areas of HR — recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and HR administration. You will be the go-to resource for employees and managers alike, and a key driver of HR process consistency across the organization.

This role is well-suited for someone with a few years of HR experience who is ready to operate with a high degree of autonomy and make a visible impact in a growing manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, scheduling, and offer coordination
    • Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a consistent and professional experience
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, files, and HR databases
    • Administer and track benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries
    • Support compliance with federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.)
    • Assist with performance management processes, documentation, and follow-through
    • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and HR-related matters
    • Draft HR communications, policies, offer letters, and other documents as needed
    • Support disciplinary and separation processes in coordination with management
    • Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, documentation, and systems
    • Coordinate with external vendors including job boards, background check providers, and benefits brokers

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
    • 2–5 years of HR experience in a generalist or specialist capacity
    • Working knowledge of federal and Texas employment law and HR compliance requirements
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS or ATS platforms a plus
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — written and verbal
    • High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters
    • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus, but not required

    Preferred Background

    • Experience supporting HR in a manufacturing, industrial, or trades environment
    • Experience with an HRIS system (PEO)
    • Familiarity with recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, or Indeed
    • Experience with multi-department or multi-shift workforce coordination
