HR Generalist – Manufacturing
Winston-Salem, NC | Onsite | Monday–Friday
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Winston-Salem. This is a hands-on, highly visible position supporting 200+ employees in a large manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate is personable and approachable, but also confident handling employee issues and making decisions independently. You'll work closely with an HR Manager who supports multiple locations, so we're looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day HR responsibilities without needing constant direction.
Responsibilities:
Employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
New hire onboarding and orientation
Training and employee development
Performance management and supervisor support
Benefits and general HR administration
HRIS updates and employee records
Employee engagement and recognition programs
Coordinate company events, luncheons, and employee activities
Support HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance
Maintain a strong presence and build relationships with employees on the production floor
Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience
Manufacturing, distribution, or similar high-volume environment strongly preferred
Strong employee relations and investigation experience
Comfortable working with hourly employees and front-line supervisors
Ability to work independently and make sound HR decisions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
HRIS experience required; UKG experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree preferred
