    Black Bear Talent is seeking a highly capable and well-rounded Human Resources Generalist for our client. This is a direct-hire opportunity with strong growth potential for an HR professional who brings solid business acumen, a strong HR foundation, and a talent-growth mindset. The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting the organization through full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and collaboration with leaders on both day-to-day and strategic HR initiatives.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles.
    • Partner with hiring managers to define competencies, screening criteria, and interview structure.
    • Coordinate with temporary staffing agencies and external recruitment partners.
    • Support onboarding and new hire orientation.
    • Maintain applicants tracking documentation and compliance reporting.
    • Maintain confidential tracking of candidate documentation and compliance timelines.
    • Administer FMLA, ADA, and other statutory or company leaves.
    • Maintain leave tracking systems and documentation.
    • Communicate with medical providers and ensure return-to-work clearance compliance.
    • Maintain personnel records, I-9 documentation, and audit readiness.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
    • Other duties as assigned per the HR Director

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
    • Proficiency in full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning.
    • Experience managing leave administration and employee documentation.
    • Ability to interpret and apply policies consistently.
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
    • Effective communication skills across hourly and leadership populations.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and tracking tools.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
    • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
    • Critical thinking and sound judgement in employee relations matters

    Education/Certification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
    • Experience in manufacturing, industry, or warehouse distribution environment preferred.
    • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred but not required.
