In collaboration with the Human Resources Director and the HR team, lead the area of employee recruitment, hiring, and compensation. The Human Resources Department is committed to providing excellent, consistent, high-quality service to our employees. The HR Generalist, together with the HR Team is assigned to partner with all GRM employees for specific HR-related tasks.In collaboration with the Human Resources Leadership, actively participate and maintain the Standards of ExcellenceMaintain an environment of love, grace, dignity and respectOversee and schedule new employee onboarding (including current employees)Oversee, collect, and maintain all training records, such as new employee basic training and ongoing personal & professional developmentReviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessmentsMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, training and development, and employment lawIn collaboration with the Human Resources Leadership, effectively manage the recruiting HRIS systemPerform searches for qualified job candidates using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, external job fairs, recruiting firms, or employee referralsCoordinate with outside staffing agencies to secure temporary employees based on departmental needsCoordinate and oversee GRM quality job fairsScreens applications and selects qualified candidatesReviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessmentsScreens all 1 st and 2 nd interview toolkitsSchedules interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materialsParticipate in interviewsNotify applicants and candidates of application statusSchedules and conducts Pre-Employment ScreeningConducts reference checksRecord and report outcomes of GRM HR efforts as outlined in department playbookAssist in the development and implementation of employee engagement and recognition initiatives geared towards fostering a positive, safe work environment and promoting teamworkReview bi-weekly timesheets for payroll preparationMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practicesreviews policies and practices to maintain complianceMaintain organized employee files and HR recordsGeneral administrative office assistance as directedOther duties as assignedProfessional Development Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual success goals as approved and by GRM benchmarks and strategic planAttend professional training and networking opportunities as directedAttend staff meetings or other meetings as directedPerform other duties as assignedGospel Rescue Mission is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit religious organization that provides social service programs to the homeless and working poor.
