Human Resources GeneralistThe Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle and ensuring compliance within a fast-paced, compliance-driven healthcare organization. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, leave administration, employee relations, benefits coordination, and offboarding, while maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring adherence to company policies and state and federal employment laws. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment and OnboardingPipelining, managing full-cycle recruitment; including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters.Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a consistent and compliant experience across all departments and locations.Maintain applicant and employee records in HR systems (e.g., applicant tracking, personnel files, I-9s).Coordinate pre-employment requirements such as drug screens, physical exams, and background checks. Employee Relations & HR SupportServe as the primary HR point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.Assist leadership in handling employee relations issues, documentation, and corrective action processes.Partner with management to maintain a positive, professional, and compliant work environment. Leave Administration & ComplianceAdminister FMLA, personal leave, and other types of leave in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.Track employee absences, certifications, and return-to-work documentation.Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws, including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA. Benefits & Payroll CoordinationCommunicate with benefits brokers regarding enrollments, terminations, and plan changes.Support benefits open enrollment, employee inquiries, and COBRA administration.Assist payroll processing by maintaining accurate employee status changes, timekeeping approvals, and pay adjustments. Offboarding & RecordkeepingManage voluntary and involuntary terminations, including exit interviews and final pay coordination.Maintain up-to-date personnel files, training records, and compliance documentation.Prepare reports and metrics to support audits, compliance reviews, and management decision-making. QUALIFICATIONSExperience3-5 years of progressive HR experienceEducationHigh school diploma or GED Core CompetenciesEmployee Relations & Communication - Serves as a trusted point of contact for employees and supervisors, addressing policy questions, workplace concerns, and employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and consistencyCompliance & Risk Awareness - Demonstrates working knowledge of employment laws and regulatory requirements (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA) and applies them accurately to day-to-day HR operations to reduce organizational riskAdaptability & Initiative - Operates effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment, managing multiple priorities, adjusting to evolving operational needs, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve HR processesDetail Orientation & Accuracy - Demonstrates strong attention to detail when handling employee data, payroll-related changes, benefits information, and compliance documentation, minimizing errors and reworkCollaboration & Professionalism - Interacts with internal stakeholders in collaborative, people-first manner while modeling professionalism and ethical behavior in alignment with organizational values  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field Experience in healthcare or EMS industry SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThere are no supervisory responsibilities in this role.  PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position requires the ability to perform the following essential physical functions, with or without reasonable accommodation:Lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally Use speech, hearing, and visual acuity  WORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions are in an office environment and are subject to sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
