Description

SNI Companies has partnered with a Non-profit in Philadelphia, PA who is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. The HR Generalist will serve as the primary administrator for employee leave programs, workers' compensation, and benefits administration. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering exceptional support and guidance to employees and managers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in employment laws and leave management, and passionate about creating positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer all leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave, medical leave, personal leave, and other applicable leave types.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers throughout the leave process, from intake through return-to-work.
  • Ensure leave requests are processed accurately, confidentially, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate return-to-work plans and workplace accommodations as needed.
  • Administer workers' compensation claims and serve as liaison between employees, insurance carriers, medical providers, Payroll, and management.
  • Monitor claim activity and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Assist with incident reporting, claims investigations, and return-to-work planning.
  • Partner with managers to ensure timely reporting and resolution of workplace injuries.
  • Support employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries regarding eligibility, enrollment, and coverage.
  • Assist with benefit enrollments, life event changes, and annual open enrollment activities.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely processing of employee transactions.
  • Partner with benefits vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HRIS data.
  • Generate reports and assist with HR metrics and analytics.
  • Support HR compliance initiatives, audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and employment laws.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and organizational leaders to support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing HR projects.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience, with direct experience administering leave of absence programs and workers' compensation claims.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and related employment regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and maintaining confidential employee records.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
