Brief Description The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with other members of the HR team supporting the overall mission of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/top talent, employee benefits administration, risk management, culture development. standardized pay scale and employment law compliance. An HR Generalist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills. You will have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. HR Generalist Responsibilities: - Coordinate health, life and disability insurance enrollments and communicates with service providers concerning routine administration
- Reconcile/validate data entry to ensure data integrity, and support routine reporting requests. This includes running monthly reports
- Keep employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in the system in a timely fashion
- Assist in recruitment process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, performing reference checks and telephone interviews
- Maintain listing of approved positions along with assigned salary grade levels
- Support initiatives and activities form employee and manager training, which is facilitated by HR. May support company-sponsored employee events as directed
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Perform analysis of organizational development and anticipate future employment needs
- Design and manage recruitment and selection process (resume screening, screening calls, interviews etc.)
- Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities
- Counsel the candidate on corporate benefits, salary, and corporate environment
- Handling the full cycle recruitment, medium to high volume.
- Maintains and generate reports on regular basis
- Creating (as needed) and maintaining tracking databases related to job openings, referrals, applicant tracking, etc.
- Assist Human Resource Administrator in creating and distributing documents
- Maintaining computer system and HR files by updating, filing and entering data
- Setting appointments and arranging interviews
- Assist when necessary in file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
- Compiling reports on excel and/or preparing spreadsheets
- HR generalists act as liaisons between workers, managers and executives in measuring employee engagement.
- Employee safety, wellness and health and counselling is an important area of work for the Human Resources Generalist and involvement in the development and implementation of policy documents and handbooks that can be referred to by employees.
- HR policy development and documentation in line with the company's corporate vision.
- Develop compensation and benefits systems that fit Ideal Market's HR responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
- Coordinate with department managers to help create or modify existing training and onboarding programs for current employees and hew hires.
- Assist other departments with overall success by assisting with proper flow of procedures and information tracking and structure.
- Conduct and Research market competition to help establish new role development openings and assist with proper restructure according to market standards.
- Establish proper procedures and help align department structure for current candidates and new hires
- Demonstrate leadership skills to help create company culture standards
- Asses and Issue Disciplinary action forms and document accordingly
- Help propose ideas for department structure as well as proposing money and time saving hiring procedures
- Conduct orientation for new hires and department changes
- Conduct outreach program familiarity to help establish company and candidate awareness for potential new hires
HR Generalist Top Skills & Proficiencies: - Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years Human Resources experience or equivalent
