    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a variety of daily operations within the Human Resources department and services as the first point of contact for HR needs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Human Resources Operations

    • Provides internal support and technical guidance to departments and employees on human resources related items
    • Assists with the development and implementation of recruitment strategies that recruits and retains highly qualified employees
    • Processes pre-employment background checks and communicates with the credentialing team on new hire clinical staff
    • Plans, organizes, and presents new hire orientation designed to create engagement and embrace the KC CARE culture code
    • Performs and directs a variety of personnel activities under the supervision of the HR leadership team
    • Maintains electronic employee records in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
    • Actively serves as an HR business partner by participating in departmental meetings, providing training, and communicating regularly to leaders
    • Assists the Payroll and Benefits Manager by providing basic support for payroll and benefits to employees and by participating in the open enrollment process
    • Manages the employee interview process for entry, stay, and exit interviews
    • Manages the employee recognition program for all employees and presents monthly at All Staff meetings
    • Provides exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers and ensures strict confidentiality with information
    • Responds to employment verification requests
    • Works with the HR leadership team to draft policies and procedures, develop and implement HR programs, and monitor employee retention and engagement offerings
    • Conducts a variety of training topics as requested
    • Ensures compliance with all HR policies, local, state, and federal laws

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, business, or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and human resources experience
    • Three years' direct human resources experience

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    • One year experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
    • Experience with UKG Ready
    • Experience in a healthcare setting

    Working Conditions

    General working conditions are in a healthcare facility. As such, there is a potential exposure to virus, disease, and infection from patients while performing the duties of this job. May experience traumatic situations including psychiatric traumatized and deceased patients. Travel may be expected to community meetings, client homes, or other agencies.

    Physical Demands

    While performing duties of this job, employees are regularly required to set, walk, and stand; talk and hear; both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel, or operate standard office or clinical equipment; reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
