We're adding a newly created HR Generalist position to our team in Glens Falls, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional looking to expand their experience across the full employee lifecycle while supporting multiple locations and business groups.

Job Details

Reporting to the regional HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist will provide day-to-day HR support across multiple locations in the Northeast and Midwest. You'll have exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, workers' compensation, compliance, leave administration, and employee engagement.

This position is ideal for an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HR Specialist with 2–4 years of experience who is ready to take on greater ownership and independently support employees and managers.

What You'll Do
  • Support the full employee lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding through promotions and terminations.
  • Prepare offer letters and conduct new-hire orientations.
  • Partner with managers on employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, investigations, employee complaints, policy violations, and harassment concerns.
  • Support payroll, HRIS, benefits, workers' compensation, FMLA/leave processes, and annual open enrollment.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Partner with internal recruiting teams and outside staffing agencies.
  • Support employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Provide HR support to both office and manufacturing-based employee populations across multiple locations.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally within a broad HR Generalist, Coordinator, or Specialist capacity.
  • Hands-on employee relations experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Exposure to recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Manufacturing HR experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to independently handle employee questions and recognize when issues should be escalated.
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Comfortable supporting employees and leaders across multiple locations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10–20% within North America.
