    Job Description:

    The Human Resources Generalist will act as a support partner to business leaders and employees at our production facility in Garden City, NY, requiring on-site presence 5 days per week.

    The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to take a hands-on approach to day-to-day HR operations. Working closely with the HR Manager and HR Director, the HR Generalist will interact with employees and leaders at all levels, ensuring HR processes are executed with accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

    Key Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Support all stages of the employee lifecycle, including requisition management, screening, scheduling, onboarding, payroll administration, leave management, HRIS maintenance, audits, and reporting.
    • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices while delivering high-quality HR administrative support.
    • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers by providing timely, accurate guidance on HR-related inquiries.
    • Maintain compliance with company policies, employment regulations, data privacy requirements, and recordkeeping standards.
    • Manage and maintain employee data within HR systems, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of records.
    • Partner with the HR Manager and HR Director to support HR metrics, analytics, and reporting for the business unit.
    • Analyze workforce trends and HR data, prepare actionable insights, and assist in developing and monitoring improvement plans.
    • Maintain HR dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools on a weekly and monthly basis to support business decision-making.
    • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and business information.
    • Contribute to special projects, process improvement initiatives, employee engagement events, and other HR responsibilities as assigned.

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production-based environment.
    • Broad knowledge of HR practices, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, leave administration, benefits administration and compliance.
    • Working knowledge of federal, NY state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Experience maintaining HRIS systems (ADP, SuccessFactors, etc.) and employee records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and workforce data to support business decisions.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting a union manufacturing workforce.
    • Experience with employee engagement initiatives, audits, and compliance reporting.
    • Familiarity with payroll and timekeeping systems.
    • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)

    Other Requirements:

    • Ability to work on-site 5 days per week with a 7am start time to support 1st shift production teams.
    • Due to the nature of our business programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the US and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
    • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

    Employee Type: Salaried

    Salary Minimum: 75,000
