Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining accurate employee records. This role will partner with teams across the organization to help ensure efficient HR processes, promote a positive employee experience, and support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding.
  • Partner with leadership to implement people-centric strategies, processes, and systems to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date organizational charts and job descriptions.
  • Oversee health and wellness insurance programs for employees.
  • Provide timely and informative responses to employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Analyze data and trends to generate insightful reports for HR leadership.
  • Maintain and organize employee resources, ensuring all forms, policies, and materials are current and accessible.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and recordkeeping within HR information systems.
  • Coordinate and administer leave of absence programs, including FLMA.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations matters such as disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing.
  • Assist with annual HR projects, such as open enrollment and performance reviews.
  • Stay current on evolving labor laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Partner with other departments to ensure adherence to all applicable legal requirements.
  • Support the team with event coordination and preparation.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; 3+ years of experience in HR Specialist or Generalist role (may substitute experience for education).
  • Hands-on experience with HR information systems a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, legal compliance, and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain complex HR concepts.
  • Experience working in a technology environment (a plus).
  • Strong judgment and discretion with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Meticulous attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and data management.
