Human Resources Generalist-Bilingual Department: Human ResourcesDirect Supervisor: Director of Human ResourcesAssignment Category: Full-Time, PermanentFLSA Status: Exempt, SalaryLocation: This role is fully on-site at our Fall River, MA facility.Raw Seafoods is seeking an experienced, solutions-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our growing manufacturing operation. This position partners with leaders and employees across the organization to deliver exceptional HR support while ensuring compliance, fostering employee engagement, and supporting operational excellence.The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource to managers and employees by providing guidance on employee relations, recruiting, performance management, leaves of absence, benefits administration, policy interpretation, compliance, and talent development. Success in this role requires sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Essential ResponsibilitiesEmployee RelationsServe as the first point of contact for employees' questions and concerns.Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.Coach supervisors on employee performance, attendance, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.Support conflict resolution while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.Talent AcquisitionManage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.Coordinate interviews, background checks, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding.Monitor recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, applicant quality, and retention.Performance ManagementAssist with the annual performance review process.Coach managers on providing meaningful feedback.Assist with performance improvement plans.Support employee development initiatives.ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.Maintain personnel files and HR records.Assist with audits including I-9, EEO, OSHA, unemployment, and wage and hour compliance.Support policy implementation and handbook updates.Benefits & Leave AdministrationAssist with benefit enrollments and qualifying life events.Coordinate FMLA, PFML, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs.Respond to employee benefit questions.HR OperationsMaintain employee records within the HRIS.Process employment status changes.Assist with reporting and HR analytics.Support employee recognition and engagement initiatives.Training & DevelopmentCoordinate new hire orientation.Support supervisor training programs.Assist in identifying development opportunities throughout the organization.Continuous ImprovementRecommend improvements to HR processes.Participate in HR projects and cross-functional initiatives.Promotes company values of honesty, commitment, passion, and teamwork.Required QualificationsEnglish/Spanish bilingual capability.Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR experience.Working knowledge of employment law.Strong employee relations experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.PreferredExperience supporting manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or similar operations preferred.Continuing education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.SHRM-CP or PHR certification.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in both office and production environments.Occasionally walking throughout the manufacturing facility.Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.Ability to sit, stand, and use computers for extended periods.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThis position operates in both a professional office and an active seafood manufacturing environment.
