Job Title: Human Resource Generalist
Pay: $31.25 - $33.65/hr DOE
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4/4:30 pm

As a Human Resource Generalist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting HR functions and ensuring smooth daily interactions with employees. You’ll work closely with HR management to promote a positive workplace and operational success.

What You’ll Do:
As a Human Resource Generalist, you will be responsible for:
  • On-boarding new hires, including providing new hire paperwork and guiding them through the onboarding process.
  • Serving as a main point of contact for employees, addressing questions, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ensuring new hires are compliant with legal requirements to work in the United States by utilizing E-Verify.
  • Reviewing HR documents for accuracy and data entry related to associate status changes such as promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Entering all new employee data into company systems accurately and timely.
  • Verifying that Time and Attendance are accurately recorded in preparation for payroll processing.
  • Supporting Environmental Health and Safety initiatives by logging safety incidents, reporting to Workers' Compensation providers, and maintaining OSHA logs.
  • Assisting with staffing communications for temporary associates and managing filing processes.
  • Handling unemployment claims and supporting administration of leave requests under FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
  • Running reports, auditing HR systems, and preparing spreadsheets and documentation as needed.
  • Responding to employee HR inquiries and conducting exit interviews.
  • Managing weekly and monthly attendance reports, scheduling new employee trainings, and supporting employee relations issues.
  • Assisting HR Managers with investigations and collaborating with departments to ensure safety and product quality.

What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will:
  • Be bilingual in English and Spanish (a must).
  • Have 3+ years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Possess strong communication skills for discussing topics such as attendance, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, policies, etc.
  • Have payroll experience, with a focus on time card data entry.

Location & Schedule:
This is a temp-to-hire position onsite in Salem, OR, offering a Monday-Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 4/4:30 pm (depending on lunch break).
