Job Summary/Objective:

The Human Resources Generalist at Summit Pointe plays a crucial role in supporting the overall human resources functions.  This position is responsible for a wide range of HR activities, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The Human Resources Generalist is a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Maintain the Paycor ATS, HR Recruiting/Update Report, corresponding supporting files for all open positions, and candidate selection-to-hire process.
  • Prepare, process and maintain employment verifications, disability, unemployment workers compensation, employee benefits and FMLA claims.
  • Complete Data entry and processing in multiple systems for the purpose of required personnel file record keeping for pre-boarding, on-boarding, benefit administration and timekeeping.
  • Assist with end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
  • Maintain all required documentation and reports in support of the full cycle recruiting process.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the management of benefits.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and performance issues.
  • Conduct investigations when necessary and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Coordinate and support the performance review process.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance improvement plans.
  • Work with leadership to identify and implement employee development initiatives.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Generate reports and analytics on HR metrics to support decision-making.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PHR or SCHRM certification preferred
  • 5 years of experience in human resources with a focus on generalist responsibilities.
  • Experience in Public sector, nonprofit or mental health is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
