This role serves as a key resource to employees and managers across the organization, helping ensure TheRide attracts, develops, and retains a skilled workforce dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and accessible public transportation services. Accountabilities and Essential Functions Talent Acquisition & Onboarding · Support full-cycle recruitment efforts for administrative, maintenance, operations, and leadership positions across TheRide. · Screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and partner with hiring managers to fill positions efficiently. · Facilitate pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screenings, and employment verification. · Coordinate onboarding programs that introduce new employees to TheRide's culture, mission, values, and safety expectations. Employee Relations & Support · Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns. · Provide guidance and support related to employee relations matters, performance concerns, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation. · Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and documentation while maintaining confidentiality. · Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews and separation processes. · Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives that contribute to a positive workplace culture. Compensation, Benefits Administration & HRIS Administration · Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with enrollment, changes, and questions. · Support payroll administration by processing personnel changes and ensuring accurate employee records. · Coordinate leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and paid leave programs. · Assist with compensation and classification processes in accordance with organizational policies and collective bargaining agreements, as applicable. · Serve as a primary administrator for TheRide's Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. · Maintain employee records, organizational structures, benefit elections, position data, and employment transactions within the HRIS. · Generate HR metrics, workforce reports, and data analytics to support operational and strategic decision-making. · Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through enhanced utilization of HRIS technology and system automation. Compliance & Recordkeeping · Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. · Ensure accurate and confidential maintenance of personnel files, HRIS records, and employment documentation. · Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and record retention practices. · Support policy administration and ensure HR practices align with TheRide's operational and regulatory requirements. Training & Development · Coordinate employee training, orientation, and professional development programs. · Maintain training records and support compliance-related and safety-focused training initiatives. · Assist with performance management, employee development planning, and leadership development efforts. · Support employee engagement and continuous improvement programs that strengthen workforce effectiveness and service excellence. Provides support for additional HR initiatives and projects as assigned.
