    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Human Resources Generalist (3rd Shift)

    • Shift: 3rd Shift
    • Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 8:30 PM to 6:00 AM
    • Experience Required: Minimum of one (1) year of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or related environment preferred

    Regulatory Compliance & Employee Support

    • Administer and support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and other applicable regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
    • Respond to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related matters.
    • Provide guidance and support to employees and supervisors on workplace concerns and employee relations issues.
    • Serve as a primary HR resource for the facility and collaborate with Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs) when specialized support is required.
    • Assist with leave administration and employee accommodations in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.

    Employee Relations & Investigations

    • Conduct workplace investigations related to policy violations, employee complaints, and other employment matters.
    • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of investigative findings and recommendations.
    • Partner with leadership to resolve employee relations concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Recommend corrective actions and follow up to ensure implementation and effectiveness.
    • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and compliant work environment.

    Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

    • Support the recruitment process, including candidate screening, interviewing, background checks, I9 compliance and hiring recommendations.
    • Coordinate pre-employment activities and onboarding processes.
    • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure completion of required employment documentation.
    • Assist with probationary reviews and employee transitions, including separations and exit interviews.
    • Partner with supervisors to ensure effective integration of new employees into the workforce.

    Employee Engagement & Community Relations

    • Support employee engagement initiatives designed to enhance workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
    • Coordinate employee recognition programs, plant events, celebrations, and wellness activities.
    • Act as an advisor and resource for employee involvement teams and committees.
    • Foster positive relationships with employees, community partners, and external stakeholders.
    • Assist in resolving employee concerns while promoting a positive employee experience.

    Compensation, Benefits & HR Analytics

    • Participate in annual wage and benefit surveys and provide recommendations based on findings.
    • Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports, scorecards, dashboards, and presentations to support business decisions.
    • Track and report key performance indicators including turnover, absenteeism, staffing, and employee relations trends.
    • Identify trends and perform root cause analyses to support continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and program administration.

    Training & Development

    • Assist in the development, coordination, and delivery of employee training programs.
    • Support leadership development, compliance training, and employee development initiatives.
    • Monitor training completion and maintain training records as required.
    • Continuously develop professional HR knowledge through training, seminars, certifications, and industry best practices.

    Process Improvement & Project Support

    • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, efficiencies, and service delivery.
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
    • Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects that support organizational objectives.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Ability to conduct investigations and maintain confidentiality.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
    • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports and presentations.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Manufacturing HR experience preferred.
    • Experience with employee relations, staffing, and HR compliance activities.
