HR Coordinator

Pay Range: $22-$26/hour, based on experience
Fully Onsite in Orlando
Estimated Contract Length: 4-6 months

A growing nonprofit organization is seeking an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations during an exciting period of growth and organizational development. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will help provide structure, improve processes, and support employees across a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Process offer letters, onboarding paperwork, employment verifications, and HR documentation
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities
• Serve as a point of contact for employee HR and benefits-related questions
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
• Assist with benefits administration and employee communications
• Support compliance tracking, personnel documentation, and HR processes
• Coordinate HR meetings, trainings, and internal communications
• Partner closely with leadership to support administrative and operational HR functions
• Assist with general people operations and special projects as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR coordination, HR administration, office management, or related experience
• Experience working within an HRIS platform and maintaining employee records
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Self-starter able to work independently with minimal direction
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes unstructured environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Previous nonprofit, charter school, or public school experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required based on experience
