Summary

Provides administrative support to one or more human resources functions, including recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, new hire orientation, and employee records.

Qualifications & Education

  • High School diploma; college degree preferred
  • Minimum two years Human Resources administrative experience in a fast paced office environment is required.
  • Experience with an HRIS system and/or Applicant Tracking System preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of application
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality
  • Knowledge of HR related laws/regulations/reporting requirements preferred.

Job Duties

  • Participates in the onboarding process by arranging and facilitating in person and virtual orientation and all associated requirements, including I9 verifications, ID badges, and sending onboarding documents to new hires
  • Enters/scans information (e.g., new hires, transfers, benefits, promotions, new titles, pay rates, etc.) into the HRIS and other HR related systems in an accurate and timely manner
  • Responds to employee questions and e-tickets regarding ID badges, name changes, HR policies/procedures/programs
  • Creates position change letters (promotions, transfers, level changes) with corresponding status change form and updates to Share Report
  • Maintains employee files by creating folders for new employees and ensuring that all required paperwork/documentation is included, updating files of existing employees when their status changes (e.g., title changes), pulling files of terminated employees and preparing/sending them to storage, and retrieving information from files when requested.
  • Responds to unemployment requests received by the Department of Labor and general employment verifications
  • Compiles statistics for various HR management reports
  • May conduct pre-employment screening interviews, check references and respond to routine questions on HR policy
  • Maintains department supplies by monitoring inventory and advising the Supervisor of the need to reorder, completing necessary forms to initiate purchases, following up to ensure deliveries are received and storing supplies properly
  • Keeps abreast of and complies with policies, procedures, guidelines and ensures the system is up to date
  • Performs other duties upon request

The good faith range for this position is $24.00 to $26.00 hourly. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
