Community Solutions seeks a proactive, employee-centered Human Resources Coordinator to join our People and Culture Team. What You'll Be Doing in the role of Human Resources Coordinator:
- Represent HR and act as first contact and resource for a broad range of HR matters.
- Provides administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding; is responsible for accurately processing HR transactions and reporting.
- Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires to ensure that all new hire documentation is completed timely and accurately.
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems and personnel files ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collecting and processing new hire paperwork, including tax forms, I-9 verification, and benefits enrollment.
- Serve as a point of contact for new hires, addressing their questions and concerns and managing the onboarding process.
- Introducing new employees to company policies, culture, and procedures.
- Prepare and process HR-related documents, such as offer letters, employee changes, promotions, terminations, etc.
- Coordinates the Performance Management process and programs.
- Conduct and track pre-employment requirements such as background checks, DMV, credentialing, etc.
- Create employee digital employment records including personnel files, compliance documentation, etc.
- Work cross-functionally with members of the HR, Talent, Training, and Program teams to ensure staff matters are addressed timely.
- Acts as a resource for employees to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefit, payroll and HR practices.
- Works closely on employee experience and other department projects.

- 2+ years of HR experience or equivalent work experience.
- You have knowledge of human resources best practices and policies/procedures.
- You have proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and able to monitor quality of work.

- You maintain a high degree of professionalism and can interface with all levels of the agency as a primary point of contact for the HR team.
- You can multi-task and work in a fast-paced energetic environment.
- You are adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolution in a timely manner.
- You can work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Systems minded and comfortable with technology.
- You are proficient with HR systems, MS systems (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
- Fluent in Spanish preferred.
Working at Community Solutions:
The hourly rate of pay this role is $25.00 - $30.00. Range placement is determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Work Environment and Location: This position is located within commutable distance to our Gilroy headquarters, with occasional needs to be able to travel into our offices in San Jose and Morgan Hill.
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by specific programs, licensing regulations and Community Solutions practices.
- License: Possess a valid California driver’s license, current car insurance and a good driving record as documented by a DMV report and consistent with the Agency’s liability insurance requirements.
- Requires an automobile to perform routine job duties.
