Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in healthcare authorization, billing, or admitting processes
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/Diagnosis codes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and electronic verification tools
  • Ability to initiate and follow up on insurance authorizations efficiently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinics, physicians, insurance companies, and staff
  • Familiarity with third-party reimbursement requirements and regulations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with hospital registration or healthcare data processing systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards
  • Prior experience working in a high-volume healthcare setting or revenue cycle department

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Alternatively, a high school diploma with 4+ years of related healthcare experience
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in obtaining healthcare authorizations from providers or insurance companies
  • Experience working for a health plan, physician practice, surgery center, or hospital

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules as needed
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
  • Willingness to participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
