Human Resources Business Manager

Join a respected Middlesex County, CT manufacturer that designs innovative industrial packaging and storage solutions for a diverse customer base. This is an excellent opportunity to play a strategic leadership role where you will directly influence manufacturing performance, workforce development, and company culture.

Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 plus comprehensive benefits

Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Partner with plant leadership to align HR strategies with manufacturing, production, and operational objectives while driving employee engagement and organizational performance.
* Lead recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and leadership coaching for hourly and salaried employees.
* Manage HR compliance, employee investigations, disciplinary actions, leave administration (FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, CT leave laws), and maintain HR policies and the employee handbook.
* Analyze workforce metrics including turnover, attendance, overtime, labor efficiency, and staffing trends to support business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.




Required Skills & Experience
* 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of HR operations including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation, compliance, and workforce development.
* Experience analyzing labor metrics and partnering with operations leaders to improve productivity, retention, and organizational performance.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP systems or manufacturing reporting tools.

Preferred Skills & Experience
* Bilingual in English and Spanish.
* Experience building high-performance manufacturing cultures and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
