Position Summary:
Benefits Specialists are responsible for managing the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-and long-term disability, 401(k) plan, and leaves of absences.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Distributes all benefit enrollment materials and determines eligibility
- Enrolling employees with benefit vendors and process status changes
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Administer COBRA enrollment
- Reconciliation of bills
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personnel, disability and FMLA.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries related to enrollments contribution changes; reviews weekly transfers before transmitting contributions to the 401(k) administrator; assist with annual audit process.
- Assist with the open enrollment process.

Knowledge, Education, and Experience:
- BS degree in human resources, business administration, or finance
- Two to five years' experience in HR and/or benefits administration required
- Strong knowledge of current labor rules and regulations
- Familiarity with various types of incentives and benefits
- Extensive knowledge of HRIS, specifically Dayforce, and MS Office

Compensation: Pay Range: $26-32/hr.
