HUMAN RESOURCES ASSOCIATE

The Arc Westchester has an excellent opportunity for a Human Resources Associate to work along side the rest of the Human Resources Team.

The HR Associate will coordinate all areas of recruitment for Direct Support Professionals for the Residential Department. As well as conduct general office support for the Human Resources Department.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to safely and successfully perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation consistent with applicable federal, state and local standards/requirements, and agency policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain reasonably regular, and punctual attendance consistent with federal, state and local standards/requirements, and agency policies and procedures.
• Compliance with all personnel policies and practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Handles all areas of recruitment for the Residential Department. This includes telephone screening, setting up interviews, interviewing applicants, referring qualified applicants to vacancies.
• Creates Personnel files for new hires which also include scanning new hire files.
• Ensures that all documents are current and in compliance.
• Schedules and participates in Colleges and University recruitment, Job Fairs, local career offices, and all other viable resources for applicants.
• Conducts first day orientation for new hires.
• Assists in other clerical and administrative functions as needed, such as checking references, calling up applicants and setting up interviews, employment verifications, Employee surveys, etc.
• Have an energetic and positive attitude.
