Responsibilities of the position include the following:

• Function as a strategic business partner/consultant to proactively assist customers in meeting their business objectives through effective management of Human Resources
• Responsible for quickly assessing and responding to customer needs
• Ensure the equitable and consistent application of the GDLS policies and practices and Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Interpret policies and procedures and provide policy guidance in a consistent manner to managers and employees
• Manage, assist with and administer processes for Short Term Disability, FMLA, pay adjustments, uniforms, various reports, pre-employment contingencies, HRIS data entry, and other duties/tasks as required

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or another related field
• at a minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a Human Resource role
• Must be able to obtain unescorted access to the facility through the vetting process as administered by the Department of Army Police
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a teaming environment with unionized workforce to support customer and manufacturing requirements
• Must be able to work independently or with minimum oversight to address responsibilities
• Must have good time management skills
• Experience with unionized workforce preferred

Additional Information

• Availability to work outside regular business hours as needed, to address critical issues.
• This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance).
