    Description

    Purpose 

    The Human Resources Assistant handles a wide range of HR responsibilities including employee recordkeeping, new hire orientation and documents, and any HR office related functions. 

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

     

    Organizes and maintains employee personnel files and records. Audits record and corrects information as necessary. Updates and maintains all employee documentation as dictated by governing agencies. 

    Supports with staffing agencies for temporary employee assignments as . 

    Assist with the onboarding of new hires. Conducts new hire orientations as needed. 

    Assist with time and attendance corrections and updates.  

    Provides clerical support to all employees. 

    Assists with plant recruitment efforts. 

    Assists with FMLA/disability requests and benefits administration. 

    Handles ordering and distribution of company issues equipment and uniforms. 

    Responsible for collecting company issued equipment at time of termination.   

    Other duties as assigned. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 

     

    Qualifications 

    Required Education & Experience 

    High School Diploma or equivalent. 

    Effective administration and people management skills. 

    Preferred experience working in the ADP WorkforceNow or any other HRIS application. 

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

    Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. 

    Ability to accurately follow instructions.
