    Responsibilities: 

    • Knowledge of HR programs, Scheels policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal employment laws
    • Promote Scheels' culture and benefits through regular and positive associate interactions
    • Create employment postings for recruiting applicants, as well as maintaining up-to-date job postings internally and externally
    • Ability to develop a daily routine to maintain office organization, utilization of Google Apps and UKG (preferred, not required), HR Bulletin board, and ordering of HR Supplies
    • Assist the HR Leader in onboarding new associates from pre-orientation to post-orientation
    • Able to lead the first part of Orientation
    • Assist the HR Leader with the following:
    • Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, multitask, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of the human resources office
    • Perform work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • All other duties as assigned

    Education & Experience:

    The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred and/or 1-2 years of Scheels and/or human resources experience. PHR or SPHR certification preferred, or willing to obtain certification.

    Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

    Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Roles are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
