    SUMMARY

    Performs administrative tasks in support of the Human Resources functions.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities

      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

      Interfaces with the Human Resources Manager, the Executive Director, Project and Business Managers, Project Directors, and external parties to implement Human Resources functions.

      Reports to and assists HR Manager with all aspects of HR including recruitment and hiring/onboarding processes, reporting; benefit administration, payroll, employee relations, HRIS and employee record maintenance.

      Types forms, letters, reports or contracts for the signature of Executive Director, HR Manager or other members of senior management team.

      Performs HR duties including greeting walk-in employees, making and answering phone calls, filing, typing, stuffing envelopes, making copies, and sending faxes or emails.

      Maintains excel databases and other computerized records containing information required for human resources and program support operations.

      Responds to inquiries regarding personnel policies, procedures, and programs.

      Drives personal vehicle for occasional team building visits to program sites.

      Distributes incoming mail in accordance with administrative procedural guidelines.

      Attends meetings as necessary.

      • Background, degree or SHRM certification in Human Resources management.
      • Ability to work cooperatively and professionally in a diverse team and a mission driven environment that supports adults with intellectual disabilities,
      • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing,
      • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel essential),
      • Good knowledge of the principles and practices of record maintenance and retention,
      • Ability to accurately maintain filing systems,
      • Ability to analyze and summarize information in both narrative and numerical form,
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality,
      • Ability to use HRIS/payroll system.

      EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

      Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, or B.A plus current SHRM certification or equivalent experience working in a human resources department.

      CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

      The employee is required to maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Additionally, the employee is required to have a self-owned vehicle immediately available while on duty. The vehicle must be legally licensed and registered, properly maintained and insured according to the laws of the state of the employee’s residence.
