Job Description
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for a comprehensive suite of Human Resources program areas for the U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Texas. You will serveas a Human Resources Assistant for an organization of administrative/legal professionals and attorneys. Typical work assignments will include:
- Process a wide range of personnel actions within various functional areas of personnel management for assigned service areas.
- Respond to applicants, visitors, and/or telephone callers interested in obtaining employment.
- Process new employees and conducts orientation sessions on such matters as health benefits, life insurance, thrift savings, retirement and military service credit, and deposits/redeposits owed.
- Review, process and resolve problems/discrepancies relative to personnel actions.
- Collect information for employees and managers/supervisors on employee benefits, and answer questions regarding entitlements.
- Assemble background investigation packages.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
