The Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking a knowledgeable and analytical HR Analyst A/B/C/Specialist to support critical human resources programs within a dynamic, statewide organization. In this role, youll work closely with managers, supervisors, and HR professionals to support classification, compensation, organizational analysis, and personnel administration efforts. Minimum Qualifications

Three years of human resources experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR

A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Manages classification activities - conducts job assessments, position audits, and organizational reviews to ensure positions are properly allocated and aligned with Civil Service requirements.
  • Administers compensation programs - analyzes pay issues, evaluates compensation requests, and recommends solutions to support recruitment, retention, and pay equity.
  • Provides HR consultation - advises managers, supervisors, and employees on classification, compensation, organizational structure, and Civil Service rules.
  • Supports personnel actions - reviews position descriptions, organizational changes, and staffing requests to ensure compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts research and analysis - performs salary surveys, market comparisons, and workforce studies to support HR decision-making.
  • Develops policies and procedures - recommends improvements to HR programs and assists with implementation of classification and compensation initiatives.
  • Maintains records and reporting - prepares reports, manages documentation, and supports audits and compliance reviews.

Compensation:

The Human Resource Analyst A (AS-613) title has a Special Entrance Rate of $$1,616.00 biweekly.

The Human Resource Analyst B (AS-614) title has a Special Entrance Rate of $1,728.80 biweekly.

The Human Resource Analyst C (AS-616) title has a Special Entrance Rate of $1,944.80 biweekly.

The Human Resource Specialist (AS-617) title has a Special Entrance Rate of $2,080.80 biweekly.

The incumbent of this position must not have been convicted or pled nolo contendere to a crime listed in R.S. 15:587.1 (c).
