Human Resource Specialist
What you will do
You will support the Human Resources (HR) team with daily work.
Your daily tasks
Help report and track work injuries from start to finish.
Talk with employees, managers, insurance, doctors, and other people about injury cases.
Help with return-to-work plans when someone can come back with limits.
Help look into accidents and help improve safety.
Help employees and managers understand company rules and expectations.
Help with write-ups and discipline (coaching, warnings, and paperwork).
Keep employee files private and organized.
Help make simple reports (injuries, attendance, discipline, turnover).
Help with onboarding (new hires), orientation, and offboarding (when someone leaves).
Do other HR tasks as needed.
What we are looking for
Bilingual: Spanish and English (required)
Good speaking and writing skills
Ability to Learn HR and Workers compensation process and procedures
Trainable, coachable, and detailed orientated
Experience or knowledge of workers comp paperwork and claim steps (preferred but not required)
Comfortable using computer systems (ADP Workforce Now is a plus), Microsoft Office, and Outlook
Organized, able to handle many tasks, and work fast when needed
Can keep information confidential and act professionally
