Position : Human Resources Manager
Location: Birmingham, Alabama area
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is desired.
At least five years of progressive HR experience, including at least two years in a Union environment.
Strong understanding of Labor Law and experience administering Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Responsibilities Highlights
Oversee all HR functions: Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management, and Compliance.
Union Liaison: Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and promoting Fair and Consistent HR practices.
Partner with Labor Union representatives to address grievances, negotiate terms, and support Labor-Management initiatives.
Schedule and maintain status of all employee Training to ensure no training gaps for recurring and new training.
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and union workforce needs.
Ensure legal and contractual compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g. FMLA, FLSA, EEO, NLRA).
