Job Summary:
Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner II for a contract position in Lubbock, TX. This role is 100% onsite and serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, supporting HR initiatives at the local and enterprise level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR policy interpretation
- Administer payroll, benefits, time and attendance, and onboarding processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws
- Support managers and employees to drive a positive employee experience
- Assist with HR program execution and local market initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of HR generalist or business partner experience
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, payroll, benefits, and HR policies
- Experience with onboarding, orientation, and performance management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work onsite in Lubbock, TX
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP)
- Experience in distribution, logistics, or manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
About the Role:
- Contract duration: 688 total hours (approximately 4 months)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (may vary based on operational needs)
