Human Factors Engineer - UAS Operator Interface & Warnings/Cautions Certification
Position Summary:
The Human Factors Engineer serves as the technical authority for the design, evaluation, verification, and certification of the UAS Aircraft Control Station (ACS) human-machine interface (HMI). This role is responsible for ensuring operators receive accurate, timely, prioritized, and actionable information through the Ground Control Station (GCS) and related operator interfaces.
The position leads human factors engineering activities supporting airworthiness and certification efforts, with particular emphasis on warning, caution, and advisory (WCA) systems, operator workload assessment, situational awareness, error prevention, and human-in-the-loop validation.
