Position Summary:

The Human Factors Engineer serves as the technical authority for the design, evaluation, verification, and certification of the UAS Aircraft Control Station (ACS) human-machine interface (HMI). This role is responsible for ensuring operators receive accurate, timely, prioritized, and actionable information through the Ground Control Station (GCS) and related operator interfaces.

The position leads human factors engineering activities supporting airworthiness and certification efforts, with particular emphasis on warning, caution, and advisory (WCA) systems, operator workload assessment, situational awareness, error prevention, and human-in-the-loop validation.

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizen
• Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human Systems Integration, Cognitive

Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.

• 5+ years of Human Factors Engineering experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, autonomy, or

military systems.

• Experience developing operator interfaces for mission-critical systems.
• Experience conducting usability evaluations and human-in-the-loop testing.
• Experience supporting aerospace certification, airworthiness, or regulatory compliance

programs.

• Aircraft or ground control station operations.
• Warning, caution, and advisory systems.
• Situational awareness assessment methods.
• Human performance and workload analysis.
• Verification and validation methodologies.
• Requirements management tools and systems engineering processes.

Salary: $150K - $200K
