Summary – basic function of the role
This newly created role is responsible for supporting and driving Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) programs across Enerpac Tool Group’s Newberg, Oregon; Windsor, Connecticut; and Wooster, Ohio facilities, with a primary focus on supporting our newly integrated SFE Group operations.
The position forms part of the Americas HSSEQ organization and reports to the Regional HSSEQ Manager – Americas. Based primarily at the Newberg manufacturing facility, the role will serve as the day-to-day HSSE resource for Newberg while providing ongoing HSSE support and oversight to the Windsor and Wooster facilities.
A key focus of the position will be supporting the successful integration and continued development of HSSE programs across the SFE Group operations. This includes working closely with site leadership and employees to understand existing practices, identify opportunities for improvement, align appropriate programs and processes with Enerpac Tool Group requirements, and build sustainable HSSE capabilities at each location.
This is a great opportunity for an HSSE professional who is looking to grow their experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment. Experience within manufacturing, metalworking, machining, assembly, warehousing, distribution, or other industrial environments is advantageous.
As you grow within this role, you will take increasing responsibility for the daily leadership and coordination of HSSE programs across the supported facilities. You will advise site leaders, supervisors and employees; support injury and illness prevention activities; conduct risk assessments; support incident investigations; coordinate regulatory compliance activities; and help strengthen employee participation in HSSE.
Success in this position will require an ability to build strong working relationships, influence without direct authority, and work collaboratively with Operations, Human Resources, Quality, Engineering and other functional teams. Because the supported facilities are geographically dispersed, you should also be comfortable collaborating remotely while maintaining a visible presence at each facility through planned site visits.
This is a multi-site role supporting facilities in Oregon, Connecticut and Ohio. Regular travel will therefore be required, with travel generally planned in advance to support effective work/life balance.
You’ll be joining a diverse team of safety professionals and business leaders committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment for our employees while minimizing our impact on the environment. As a team, we work with agility to meet the needs of our internal and external customers, with innovation and integrity at our core. We are continuing to strengthen our HSSE programs across the organization, and this position will play an important role in bringing our newly integrated facilities along on that journey.
We recognize that applicants may not meet each and every criterion listed in this Job Description, and as such, we invite applicants who feel they have the skill set necessary to perform the role to apply.
