    Human Resources Assistant

    Primary Responsibility

    Provide daily administrative support and assistance to the Human Resources Department.  Responsible for assisting in the areas of operational and technical human resource duties to include but not limited to benefit administration; candidate searches, monthly reporting and filing personnel related documents. 
     
    Essential Functions & Responsibilities
    • Learns and master’s candidate sourcing for all subsidiaries.
    • Assists in recruiting efforts such as phone screening and coordinating pre-employment assessments.
    • Verify hire date or termination date for employees. Responsible for completing verification of employment forms from various agencies.
    • Performs customer service function by answering employee requests and questions.
    • Assists with life cycle administrative process of an employee.
    • Maintain the HRIS system, in addition to other systems.
    • Serve as a technical point-of-contact for functional areas and assist with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.  Write, maintain and support a variety of reports.
    • Assists with appreciation events for employees
      • Coordinating.
      • Maintaining employee service awards and bibles.
      • Coordinating and maintain employee recognition programs.
    • Assists the HR department with organization and electronic filing.
    • Process HR Mail.
    • Assists in creating power point presentations.
    • Maintain company organization charts.
    • Maintain electronic badge system.
    • Maintain company intranet.
    • Arrange for distribution of materials from benefit carriers, assists with communicating changes to the employees.
    • Maintain employee benefit brochures and Summary Plan Descriptions.
    • Coordinate and communicate benefit initiatives.
    • Learn and maintain employee onboarding process.
    • Learn and maintain benefits reconciliation process.
    • Learn maintain benefits communication to employees.
    Additional Functions & Responsibilities
    • Learn all roles within the organizations.
    • Attend recruiting events.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications
    • College degree in Human Resources Development or Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Psychology or other applicable degree.
    • 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably in HR.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Knowledge of business office operations, filing and administrative clerical duties.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the general public. 
    • Must be neat and professional in appearance.
    • Must be dependable and at work on time, follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
    • Must maintain confidentiality, remain open to others’ ideas and exhibit willingness to try new things.
    • Must be willing to work in harmony with all types of personalities.
