    BASIC PURPOSE

    To support employees, facility and grounds by managing HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) to meet safety and security, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance to local, state and federal laws and regulations.

    MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor of Science Degree or Equivalent in related field.
    • Five years experience in manufacturing environment

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Position responsibilities include:

    • Develop EHS strategies that support business needs and vision for the organization.

    • Develop and oversee company training programs for employees in areas such as hazardous material handling, emergency response, OSHA regulatory training, industrial hygiene, life safety and environmental and EPA compliance.

    • Follows all Hutchinson recording and reporting requirements.

    • Maintains compliance to ISO14001 certification

    • Manages the hazardous waste and recycling program with compliance, safety, and continuous improvement mindset.

    • Ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken on health, safety and environmental hazards or potential hazards.

    • Champion projects to achieve plant and corporate goals and objectives. Develop and maintain metrics to ensure ongoing performance.

    • Other EHS responsibilities include regulatory interpretation, planning, and auditing.

    • Responsible for developing and implementing management systems and new programs to reduce injury potential and ensure robust regulatory compliance.
