HSE Manager

We're looking for an HSE Manager to lead the charge toward zero accidents and build a safety culture that ranks among the best in the industry. You'll split your time across two Wisconsin sites, typically three days in Appleton and two in Neenah depending on business needs, and support field service teams across North America.

HSE Manager Job Responsibilities

• Develop and report on key safety metrics, including reductions in serious injuries, testing completion and scores, and improvements in operational risk
• Build a behavior-based HSE program that aligns with broader organizational goals
• Keep the organization compliant with company and government safety policies
• Coach and collaborate with stakeholders at every level to build real ownership of safety, not just compliance
• Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards proactively, and design interventions that get at the root cause when something does go wrong

HSE Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on HSE experience will be considered in place of a specific degree
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HSE experience, with a track record as a change agent
• Manufacturing or industrial background preferred
• Familiarity with environmental regulations is a plus
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, up and down the organization
• A proactive mindset, you spot problems before they become incidents
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and mitigating risk
• Professional HSE certification is a plus, not required

HSE Manager Additional Details

• Direct hire opportunity with full benefits
• Compensation: starting at $110,000 annually
• Based across two sites: 3 days in Appleton, WI and 2 days in Neenah, WI
• Occasional travel to support field service teams across North America, generally under 10%, as needed
• Opportunity to build a safety program from the ground up rather than maintain an existing one
