TradeWorX Pittsburgh is seeking an HSE Field Specialist to support health, safety, and environmental initiatives across active construction and industrial job sites throughout the region. This is a field-based position responsible for conducting site audits, coaching employees on safe work practices, investigating incidents, supporting regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable traveling extensively between job sites while serving as a visible safety resource for field operations.

Pay & Overtime
  • $34.00–$38.00 per hour
  • Overtime available based on project and operational needs

Schedule
  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Regional travel between active job sites
  • Must be available to respond to incidents and emergencies as needed

Job Duties
  • Conduct field safety audits and inspections at active job sites
  • Identify hazards and verify corrective actions are completed
  • Complete HSE audit reports and communicate findings to management
  • Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis
  • Support OSHA, DOT, and EPA compliance initiatives
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and field coaching
  • Develop and revise HSE policies and procedures
  • Respond to incidents and provide field-level HSE support
  • Assist with administrative and documentation tasks as needed

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Science or related field
  • 1–5 years of HSE experience in construction or gas industry preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and applicable HSE regulations
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel extensively
  • OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain
