The HRIS & Workforce Analytics Manager serves as the organization's primary subject matter expert for HR systems, workforce reporting, and analytics. This role focuses on developing workforce dashboards, executive reporting, and data-driven insights, along with designing and building automated workflows to improve HR process efficiency. The role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and business leaders to support data-driven decision-making. This is primarily an analytics and reporting SME role, not a technical integration or API-development role — day-to-day work centers on reporting, dashboarding, and workflow automation rather than system integration or API configuration.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field.
Experience
5–8+ years of progressive experience in HRIS administration, workforce analytics, or HR reporting, preferably with UKG Pro or similar HCM systems.
Demonstrated experience managing workforce reporting, HR analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
Strong understanding of HR compliance requirements, data governance, and audit controls.
Experience within healthcare, laboratory services, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated environments preferred.
Experience developing workforce analytics dashboards and executive reporting for HR, Finance, and senior leadership teams preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong Power BI dashboard development and workforce analytics experience.
Familiarity with Tableau reporting and data visualization.
Experience building automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
Comfortable exploring AI-assisted analytics or reporting tools to improve dashboard development and insight generation.
Knowledge of SQL or database concepts is a plus, but not a core requirement for this role.
Analytics, Reporting, and Business Intelligence
Develop, maintain, and enhance workforce dashboards and executive reporting using Power BI and Tableau.
Create and deliver recurring and ad hoc reports for HR, executive leadership, Finance, and operational leaders.
Monitor and analyze key workforce metrics, including headcount, turnover and retention, hiring effectiveness, time-to-fill, diversity metrics, compensation trends, and employee engagement indicators.
Identify workforce trends and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Develop executive-level workforce analytics and KPI dashboards to support strategic planning and business performance reviews.
Process Automation and Optimization
Design and build automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to improve HR process efficiency.
Evaluate existing HR processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
Partner with HR Operations, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards teams to improve system utilization and business processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee and manager experiences across HR systems.
HRIS Governance and Data Management
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for HR systems, reporting, and workforce analytics.
Support system configuration standards, data governance, and reporting accuracy within existing HRIS platforms.
Ensure integrity, accuracy, and consistency of workforce data used in reporting and dashboards.
Support internal and external audit requests related to workforce data.
Stakeholder Support and Training
Provide guidance and support to HR, Payroll, Finance, and business leaders on workforce reporting and analytics.
Develop and deliver training related to dashboards, reporting tools, and workflow automation.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making through effective reporting and workforce analytics.
