HRIS Analyst - Workforce Scheduling/Time & Attendance
Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst to configure, support, and enhance workforce scheduling, time and attendance, and related HR technology used across a global organization. This position primarily supports scheduling capabilities for manufacturing and plant-based workforces. The analyst will serve as a functional systems expert, working with HR, Operations, IT, vendors, and other business partners to translate workforce requirements into effective system configurations and technical solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience configuring and supporting a workforce scheduling or time-and-attendance platform, including Indeavor, Infor WFM, UKG/Kronos, Shiftboard, WorkForce software, or a comparable application. This person should be comfortable troubleshooting production issues, gathering requirements, analyzing integrations and data, testing solutions, and communicating changes to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary analyst supporting global workforce scheduling, time and attendance, and related HR technology processes.
- Configure and support plant and manufacturing shift-scheduling capabilities including schedules, shifts, rotations, labor rules, employee assignments, and related workflows.
- Provide day-to-day production support while monitoring system health, data integrity, integration performance, and long-term sustainability.
- Use functional expertise in Indeavor or a comparable workforce-management platform to troubleshoot configuration, scheduling, data, and integration issues.
- Partner with HR, operations, payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to understand pain points, define requirements, and identify process improvements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, configuration requirements, integration requirements, and recommended technical solutions.
- Analyze how proposed process changes will affect systems, integrations, data, reporting, and downstream business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and the user experience through existing functionality, configuration changes, automation, or new capabilities.
- Deliver system projects and enhancements through discovery, requirements definition, planning, configuration, implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Develop test plans and test scripts, execute functional and integration testing, document results, and coordinate user-acceptance testing.
- Partner with third-party vendors and contractors to resolve issues and deliver projects and enhancements successfully.
- Create and maintain system documentation, configuration documentation, process flows, requirements, test scripts, support procedures, and user materials.
- Communicate system and process changes clearly to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Support reporting and analytics related to workforce scheduling, labor utilization, attendance, and HR operations.
- Evaluate new HR technology capabilities and recommend emerging trends, tools, and functionality.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience supporting, configuring, implementing, or enhancing complex enterprise technology solutions.
- Hands-on experience with workforce scheduling, time and attendance, workforce management, or labor-management systems.
- Experience configuring or supporting scheduling functionality including shifts, rotations, coverage requirements, employee assignments, labor rules, availability, or schedule exceptions.
- Solid understanding of integrations between workforce scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, HRIS, and other enterprise applications.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications and system configurations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and support business processes, system configurations, integrations, and data.
- Experience with system testing, test-script development, defect resolution, user-acceptance testing, implementation, and post-production stabilization.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex functional, configuration, data, and integration issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users, technical teams, leadership, contractors, and third-party vendors.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively when requirements or solutions are not fully defined.
Preferred
- 5 or more years of experience supporting or delivering enterprise HR, workforce-management, or manufacturing technology solutions.
- Direct experience with Indeavor workforce scheduling.
- Experience with Infor Workforce Management.
- Experience with comparable platforms including UKG Pro workforce Management/Kronos, Shiftboard, WorkForce software, Dayforce, Blue Yonder workforce Management, or SAP SuccessFactors time tracking.
- Experience supporting workforce scheduling within a manufacturing, plant, distribution, warehouse, or other 24/7 operating environment.
- Experience integrating scheduling platforms with HRIS, payroll, ERP, timekeeping, or identity-management systems.
- Experience with reporting, analytics, dashboards, or workforce data.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Human Resources Information Systems, or a related discipline.
This is a 9-month Contract opportunity with our Minneapolis-based client.
