JOB SUMMARY:

HR Business Partners perform a specialized type of HR work focused on HR consulting to the business including: •HR consulting and coaching (e.g., working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.) •Enabling business change (e.g., supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions, etc.) •HR program advocacy (e.g., communicating the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption, etc.) •Partnering with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, succession planning, etc.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Individuals in these roles have a functional knowledge focus and are primarily responsible for achieving results through their own work and through teams that they may be part of.
• Requires the application of theoretical knowledge typically gained through formal education (i.e. a postsecondary degree) and on the job training..

Job Responsibilities

• Leads hourly recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, new employee orientation, onboarding and off-boarding activities.
• Oversees internal job bidding process including reviewing job posting and identifying bids to be posted.
• Serves as primary point of contact for temporary agencies.
• Provides support on employee relations matters including investigations, resolving conflict, and communications in regards to employee questions, issues, or concerns.
• Supports culture and engagement initiatives that support morale, recognition, communication, and inclusion.
• Serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with operational goals.
• Partners with the HR Manager on compensation planning, compliance training, employee relations and engagement, audit compliance, and reporting.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:

• Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
• Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
• Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
• Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
• Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation

Education & Experience:

BA or equivalent + 3 yrs related experience, or MA + 1 yr related experience
