Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by partnering closely with leadership to drive strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day human resources functions. This role requires an experienced HR professional who has successfully supported fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environments and can build strong partnerships with managers while influencing organizational outcomes.

This is a highly collaborative, on-site position with responsibility for employee relations, talent management, compliance, workforce planning, organizational development, and HR process improvement. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

HR Partnership & Organizational Support

  • Partner with managers and leadership to support business objectives and organizational initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Lead change management initiatives, organizational design efforts, and process improvement projects.
  • Support talent management and succession planning initiatives, including identifying critical roles, development opportunities, and leadership training.
  • Coordinate compliance and management training programs.

Leave Administration & Compliance

  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, short-term disability, and applicable state and federal leave regulations.
  • Partner with Environmental Health & Safety and operational leadership regarding workers' compensation administration and return-to-work processes.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding leave eligibility, documentation, and policy interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate leave records and coordinate with payroll and benefits providers as needed.

HR Operations & Projects

  • Process and maintain employment transactions and HR documentation.
  • Support HRIS administration, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Assist with compensation, benefits, workforce planning, and HR analytics.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and communication programs.
  • Facilitate leadership development, management training, and employee development programs.
  • Participate in cross-functional HR projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and best practices.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and process standardization.

Process Improvement & HR Infrastructure

  • Develop and implement standardized HR processes and operating procedures.
  • Continuously improve employee lifecycle processes, employee relations procedures, and compliance workflows.
  • Create and maintain HR templates, documentation, and process guides to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Track and report key HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, time-to-fill, and employee relations trends.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to improve reporting capabilities and streamline HR processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that support operational efficiency and business growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Strong background in talent acquisition and full-cycle recruiting.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with managers and senior leadership on HR initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to support decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
  • CEBS, CPP, CAPM, or PMP certifications are a plus.
