    Description

    SUMMARY: The HR Technology Analyst serves as a functional resource for VSE Aviations HR systems and technology platforms, working at the intersection of HR technology and operations to drive platform optimization, data integrity, and seamless coordination between HR, Finance, and Payroll. This role is essential to ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant HR and payroll delivery across VSEs multi-entity U.S. and international workforce. Working closely with the HR Technology & Payroll Operations team, the HR Technology Analyst supports day-to-day system administration and configuration in Paycom and related HR tools, supports module implementations and integrations, and enables reporting and analytics that empower HR leadership to make data-driven decisions. This is a fixed-term contract position, anticipated to run 9 to 12 months, based in the Miami, Florida area.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    System Administration & Configuration

    • Administer and configure Paycom modules including HR, Payroll, Time & Labor, Recruiting, Performance, and Learning Management
    • Follow and maintain established configuration standards, process controls, and data integrity practices that support accurate and compliant HR and payroll delivery across VSE business units
    • Manage system tables, pay codes, earning and deduction codes, workflow rules, and security role assignments
    • Build and maintain document templates, forms, and automated notifications within Paycom
    • Respond to Paycom system questions from HR, Payroll, and business users and escalate complex issues as appropriate

    Data Integrity & Compliance

    • Conduct regular audits of employee records, system configurations, and data feeds to ensure accuracy and consistency
    • Support audit and compliance requirements by maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations, data flows, and security controls
    • Partner with HR, Finance, and Payroll to ensure adherence to FLSA, ACA, ERISA, and multi-state labor regulations across VSEs domestic and international operations
    • Identify, research, and resolve data discrepancies across HRIS, Payroll, and integrated systems
    • Maintain data standards and naming conventions to support clean reporting and analytics

    Reporting & Analytics

    • Build and maintain standard reports, dashboards, and audit queries that provide visibility into workforce data, payroll accuracy, and HR KPIs for leadership
    • Support HR leadership with headcount reporting, compensation analytics, and workforce data requests
    • Assist in developing Power BI dashboards connected to HR and payroll data sources
    • Translate business requirements into report specifications and deliver timely, accurate outputs

    Integrations & System Connectivity

    • Support the testing, validation, and ongoing monitoring of data flows between Paycom and integrated systems including benefit carriers, 3rd party vendors, and finance/ERP
    • Monitor integration job logs, identify failures, and coordinate resolution with vendors or IT
    • Assist with testing and validation during integration updates, system upgrades, or new vendor onboarding

    Project & Implementation Support

    • Support HR technology enhancements by documenting requirements, system configuration changes, conducting testing (SIT/UAT), supporting deployment, and validating changes post-implementation
    • Coordinate system readiness for annual HR cycles including open enrollment, performance reviews, and compensation programs
    • Support employee data migrations and system onboarding for acquired companies in coordination with M&A integration workstreams
    • Support user adoption by developing role-based training materials, quick reference guides, and hands-on workshops for HR and end users
    • Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and process guides
    • Assist with month system release reviews, feature evaluation, regression testing, and communication to stakeholders
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in information systems, human resources, business administration, or a related field

    • OR an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.

    • 5 years of experience in HRIS administration, HR technology, or a related HR operations role

    • Hands-on experience with Paycom or a comparable cloud-based HRIS platform (UKG, ADP, Workday, or similar)

    • Demonstrated expertise in business process analysis, requirements documentation, and functional system configuration

    • Strong understanding of HR data structures, employee lifecycle transactions, and system integration concepts

    • Experience supporting data integrations or working with data files (SFTP, flat files, or APIs)

    • Experience supporting audit and compliance requirements including payroll regulatory standards and benefits compliance (ACA, ERISA)

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data auditing, manipulation, and reporting

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities across a fast-paced, multi-entity environment

    • Excellent stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

    • Paycom system administration experience, including module configuration and security role management
    • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools connected to HR and payroll data sources
    • Exposure to M&A integration activities, including employee data migrations and system onboarding of acquired populations
    • Familiarity with HR compliance requirements across multiple U.S. states and international jurisdictions
    • Experience with SaaS release management, feature evaluation, regression testing, and stakeholder impact communication
    • Knowledge of current market trends in HR technology including pay equity analytics, AI-driven insights, and digital employee experience platforms
    • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or HRIS-specific certification
