About the Role
TESIM Electric is hiring an HR / People Coordinator to build and run the people function as we scale. You'll own onboarding, benefits, payroll administration, compliance, and the systems that make TESIM a place A-players want to work.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end onboarding for field and office hires.
- Benefits administration (health, dental, vision) and open-enrollment cycles.
- Payroll coordination with the bookkeeper/controller.
- Compliance: I-9s, E-Verify, workers' comp, OSHA recordkeeping, DOL requirements.
- Employee lifecycle: reviews, PTO, leave, offboarding.
- Culture and team programs — the small things that make people stay.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of HR coordinator or generalist experience.
- Working knowledge of Texas employment law and construction industry HR requirements.
- Comfortable with HRIS/payroll systems.
- Discretion with confidential employee information.
- Detail-obsessed with process and documentation.
Preferred Experience
- Construction, trades, or field-services HR background.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience building HR programs from scratch at a growing company.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Compensation
$28–$40/hr DOE. Top-of-market pay for the person who builds our people function.
