Schedule: Part-time, 20–25 hours per week during business hours
Position Overview
The HR Operations Administrator will support a lean HR team by managing high-volume HR transactions, improving employee records accuracy, and assisting with operational projects. This role is critical to addressing existing HR data backlogs, cleaning up employee files, and preparing HR systems for upcoming organizational and technology changes.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive HR professional who is comfortable working with large volumes of data, maintaining employee records, and supporting HR operational processes. Strong Excel skills and experience working within HR systems are essential.

The organization operates nationally across 30 states with approximately 40 locations and employs around 900 employees and 300 contractors. The HR team supports a workforce that includes both administrative and operational staff, resulting in a high volume of employee transactions and HR documentation. The HR department is a lean team responsible for a broad range of HR functions, requiring strong operational support to maintain accurate employee records and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities
HR Records Management & Remediation
- Organize, review, and remediate both digital and paper employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Standardize documentation and maintain structured record retention practices.
- Support HR audit readiness by maintaining clean and well-organized employee files.
HR Systems & Data Management
- Process high-volume HR transactions including employee status changes, job updates, reporting structure changes, and organizational updates.
- Ensure data accuracy across HR systems in preparation for an upcoming HR technology migration.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation within the HRIS platform.
Data Auditing & Reporting
- Perform data audits and reconciliation activities to ensure employee information is complete and accurate.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and clean HR data.
- Generate reports and assist with HR data requests from leadership and internal stakeholders.
HR Operations Support
- Manage HR administrative workflows including corrective action tracking, document management, and internal HR requests.
- Support daily HR operational activities to ensure smooth department operations.
- Assist with manual updates and administrative tasks required to support a high-turnover workforce environment.
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee records and sensitive HR information.
- Ensure HR documentation aligns with internal policies and compliance standards.
- Support the HR team in maintaining organized and compliant HR processes.
Qualifications
- Paylocity experience required (preferred HRIS platform)
- Minimum 3+ years of HR operations, HRIS administration, or HR administrative experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- VLOOKUP
- Pivot tables
- Data filtering and reporting
- Experience working with employee records, compliance documentation, and HR data management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive, high-volume tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced HR environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
Work Schedule
- Part-time: 20–25 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling during business hours (approximately 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Half-day or full-day schedules available to choose from
Work Environment
- Primarily desk-based work environment
- Extended periods of sitting with occasional walking or standing
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Compensation depends on experience but is typically 27-35/hr DOE
