Title: HR & Office Manager

Job Description
We're looking for an HR & Office Manager with proven experience in HR to lead the full Human Resources function and office operations for Cervecería La Tropical. This role will serve as the primary HR leader for the organization, with ownership of the employee lifecycle, employee relations, compliance, benefits, performance management, talent acquisition, and workplace culture. The HR & Office Manager will also oversee key office and administrative operations, including the company merchandise shop. This is a hands-on leadership role for an HR professional with a proven track record who can operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and effectively balance people priorities with the needs of the business.
Starting at $80,000 annually
What You'll Do:
Human Resources Leadership:
- Lead the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interviews, offer coordination, and hiring decisions in partnership with business leaders.
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a consistent, compliant, and positive employee experience.
- Own employee records, benefits administration, HR systems, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Lead employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, investigations, and workplace issues, providing sound guidance to managers and the CEO.
- Lead learning, development, and performance management initiatives, including training programs, performance improvement plans, and employee development.
- Own and manage personnel expenses and the HR budget, ensuring accuracy, appropriate controls, and alignment with financial targets.
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, benefits, performance, employee relations, and other HR matters.
Office Operations and Business Support:
- Own office procurement, including vendor setup, purchase orders, contract and vendor coordination, and ongoing vendor relationship management.
- Own customer account setup and related administrative processes in SAP, including pricing updates and sales order processing, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Own tax submissions and export documentation, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and accurate tracking of product allocations and donations.
- Oversee general office operations, facilities coordination, and workplace needs to maintain a professional, functional, and efficient environment.
- Own the company merchandise shop, including inventory tracking, merchandise sourcing and procurement, vendor coordination, reordering, stock management, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Own and manage budgets for assigned areas, ensuring cost control, accurate tracking, and alignment with company goals.
- Lead assigned strategic and cross-functional initiatives, including preparation of presentations, coordination of deliverables, and follow-through on key action items.
- Manage a variety of ad hoc projects and operational priorities across the organization, working directly with the CEO and functional leaders as needed.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, with 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience owning or leading an HR function.
- Prior experience in hospitality, restaurants, food and beverage, manufacturing, craft beer, wine, or a similar operational environment is strongly preferred.
- HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, and other HR/business systems.
- Strong experience in employee relations, EEO, benefits administration, performance management, employment compliance, and policy administration.
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations, managing hourly employee populations, coaching managers, and supporting succession and talent planning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use HR metrics and workforce data to support business decisions.
