HR Office Assistant (Part-time) - Position Available Now

The University of Alaska Human Resources is looking for a part-time office assistant to perform general office duties. We provide HR services to students, staff, and faculty across all of UA's campuses. This position is located on the UAF campus and offers 15-25 hours per week split across 2-5 days, with Wednesdays being required. Duties may include greeting visitors, processing mail, digitizing personnel files, helping with equipment inventory and office space setup, and assisting with vendor checks.
To thrive in this role, you will need to be proficient with Google Drive, email, and general office software (MS Word, Excel, PDFs, etc.). Excellent in-person, telephone, and email skills will set you up for success, as UA HR is dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
Additionally, you should be comfortable operating standard office equipment (computers, copiers, scanners) and demonstrate strong attention to detail, task prioritization, and time management. We are looking for someone who works well independently while collaborating effectively within a diverse and supportive team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior work in an office setting preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Position Details:
This is a part-time, non-exempt temporary staff position located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. Temporary employees hired at 30+ hours per week are eligible for certain benefits. New hires will be placed on the UA temporary staff salary schedule, Grade 77.
