Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, core hours 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (onsite for first 90 days, then hybrid)

Addison Group is partnering with our client, a well-established, member-focused financial services organization, to identify an experienced HR Manager. This organization is known for fostering a supportive workplace culture, investing in employee development, and promoting long-term career growth. The HR team plays a key role in driving organizational success through talent management, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives, and is currently implementing a new HR system to enhance operations.

Job Description:

The HR Manager will lead day-to-day human resources operations while supervising a small team. This individual will oversee core HR functions across the employee lifecycle and act as a strategic partner to leadership. The role requires a hands-on approach, balancing both tactical execution and strategic guidance in a collaborative and steady-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and separations
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of HR professionals, including coaching and performance oversight
  • Administer payroll processes and employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Advise leadership on HR policies, employee relations matters, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Handle employee relations concerns with professionalism and consistency
  • Maintain HR systems and employee records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
  • Assist with HR reporting, metrics, and process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle
  • Exposure to payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Prior experience within financial services or a similar regulated industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycom or similar systems)
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • SHRM certification (SCP or CP) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Additional Details:

  • Team size: 5 (including this role and direct reports)
  • Reports to HR leadership and partners closely with internal stakeholders
  • This role is open due to a recent departure
  • Interview process includes onsite meetings with HR leadership and team members
  • Candidates must have prior direct people management experience
  • Candidates should be comfortable with a credit check (no active collections or delinquent accounts; student loans acceptable if in good standing)
  • Experience within credit unions or financial institutions is highly preferred
