HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Job Summary:

• Under the direction of the Director of Education, the Clinical Instructor’s role is to teach basic life support programs, assists in course set up and coordination.
• The clinical instructor is also responsible for teaching all levels of clinical, and EMS personnel the theory and practice of ECG/EKG.
• The clinical instructor possesses considerable knowledge of and experience in emergency medical services/critical care theory skills, and practices.

• Dir/Colleague Learning/Develop

 

Supervises:

• None

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of a paramedic course certified BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor.

 

Required Experience:

• Two (2) years of EMS paramedic field experience, including ECG/EKG teaching experience. [HR may accept two (2) years of EMS, emergency room (ER), or intensive care unit (ICU) registered nursing experience (including ECG/EKG teaching experience) in lieu of two (2) years of EMS paramedic field experience.]

 

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor status/ Current Florida Paramedic licensure.
