    HR Learning & Development Specialist/ HNLC/Mount Clemens

    The Learning & Development Specialist is a key associate at Hope Network who supports seamless learning experiences for newly hired and existing employees through the coordination and delivery of training and learning opportunities. The Specialist serves as both a coordinator and facilitator of learning that promotes employee engagement, alignment with Hope Network’s competencies, development of the knowledge and skills needed to function effectively as a member of their program/department, and compliance with applicable organizational, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.

     

    What You’ll Do... 

    1. Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation, fast-track orientations, compliance training, and required community mental health trainings for newly hired and existing employees.
    2. Deliver assigned required, compliance-based, and organization-specific trainings, including but not limited to CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and serve as a trainer and facilitator for assigned learning topics.
    3. Collaborate with internal and external partners on training development, review, delivery, and scheduling; stay current on applicable compliance and accreditation requirements, rules, regulations, and guidelines to ensure organizational standards are met.
    4. Communicate training requirements, expectations, and completion timelines while providing timely, accurate, and professional support to hiring managers, candidates, and employees.
    5. Monitor and maintain training and onboarding documentation to support compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local requirements, including CARF, licensing, and CMH standards.
    6. Utilize and monitor UKG to enter and track training information, generate reports, and ensure required training is accurately documented for assigned areas.
    7. Maintain the Compass compliance tool by completing required updates and changes and assist hiring managers with compliance reporting and related information.
    8. Support continuous improvement of Learning & Development processes by reviewing forms, reports, correspondence, and other materials; identifying errors and recommending updates as appropriate.
    9. Review Learning & Development invoices, assign applicable department codes, obtain required authorizations, and submit invoices for payment.
    10. Promote recovery-based, person-centered, and culturally competent practices through learning and development initiatives.
    11. Other duties as assigned.

    What you’ll bring...

    Required:

    1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
    2. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as it relates to Hope Network policy.
    3. Strong presentation and delivery skills.
    4. Knowledge of training development: design, development and validation (testing) of training materials.
    5. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with employees and management of all levels in the organization as well as individuals of diverse backgrounds.
    6. 2-4 years of experience in training facilitation.
    7. 1-3 years of experience with Learning Management Systems.
    8. Demonstrated knowledge of training and development industry.
    9. Demonstrated knowledge of learning technologies.
    10. Demonstrated interpersonal and business skills.
    11. Delivered training solutions in an engaging manner.
    12. Demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal formats to meet position responsibilities.
    13. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
    14. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    15. Experience with Skype, Zoom, or other online meeting platforms.

    Preferred:

    1. Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) or equivalent certification, preferred.
